  • Question

The camcorder cannot be turned on.

    • Answer
    • When the camcorder can't be turned on, check the following.

      • When using an AC adaptor, connect the adaptor tightly to the camcorder and a wall outlet.
      • If the Station is supplied with the camcorder, make sure that the camcorder is attached properly.
      • When using a battery, turn on the camcorder again after charging the battery as it may be run out.

      Note when charging a battery:

      • If the CHG (charge) lamp does not light or flash while charging, the terminals may be dirty. Wipe the dust away with a dry cloth. Do not touch the terminals with your hands or metals.
      • Use Sony battery and battery charger. The use of counterfeit products may cause a malfunction.
      • We recommend charging the battery under the environment of 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F) until the CHG (charge) lamp goes off.
      • If the problem persists even if you try the above, the camcorder may need to be repaired.
