If you are using an Android phone you can use theGoogle Contacts app on the iPhone to move your contacts across.
Part 1, saving your contacts towww.google.com/contacts:- before you start make sure you have a google account (which you can set up atwww.google.com), then log into to it on your phone - by going to Google Mail, Talk or Calendar found on the homescreen menu
- next ensure that all contacts have been copied from the SIM card to your phone by
- go to people in the main menu of your phone - the address book
- select menu button
- select Import/Export
- choose import from SIM card
- then go back to the home screen and select the menu key to open All Programs
- go to settings
- go to Accounts and sync
- select Google
- ensure that Sync contacts is enabled
- select Sync now
Part 2, after you have set up your iPhone and iTunes account you are ready to download your contacts:- open the Settings application on your device's home screen
- open Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- tap Add Account....
- select Microsoft Exchange
- in the Email field, enter your full Google account email address. If you use an @googlemail.com address, you may see an Unable to verify certificate warning when you proceed to the next step
- leave the Domain field blank
- enter your full Google Account email address as the Username
- enter your Google Account password as thePassword
- tap Next at the top of your screen
- choose Cancel if the Unable to Verify Certificate box appears
- when the new Server field appears, enterm.google.com
- press Next at the top of your screen again
- select the Google services (Mail, Calendar, and Contacts) you want to sync
- unless you want to delete all the existing Contacts and Calendars on your phone, select the Keep on my iPhone option when prompted. This will also allow you to keep syncing with your computer via iTunes.
If you want to sync only the My Contacts group, you must choose to Delete Existing Contactsduring the Google Sync install when prompted. If you choose to keep existing contacts, it will sync the contents of the All Contacts group instead.
