What is BD Live?
BD Live is a technology that enables your Blu-ray player to access additional features via the internet.
BD-Live features can include Internet chats, scheduled chats with the director, Internet games as well as downloadable featurettes, quizzes and movie trailers.
If your Blu-ray player is connected to the internet you can access BD Live features via the Disc's BD-J (*) menu.
In order to use BD-live functionality of your Blu-ray player, the Blu-ray disc that you play back must support BD-live. Most Blu-ray discs that contain BD-J menus do not allow a Blu-ray player to automatically resume a movie from the point at which it was stopped. -
What do I do if I don’t see a device in the Windows media sharing screen?
Wait for a few minutes. Depending on the speed of you network, it can take some time to detect your home theater.
From your home theater, browse PC
If you see your computer, your computer and home theater are on the same network. Your network or firewall settings can prevent media sharing.
If your PC and home theater are connected wirelessly, try using wired connections.
In the Media Sharing window, click How does sharing change firewall settings. -
How do I use the optical audio connection on my home theatre system?
If your Home Theatre system has an optical audio out connector then you can connect an external digital component such as a set-top box with your home theatre system. To do so, connect the Digital Input on the home theatre system to the Digital Output of the external digital component with an optical (fibre optic) cable. Please note that Audio can also be transmitted over HDMI.
