      WHY DOESNT IE9 WORK ON XP I REALLY WANT IT ON XP CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL MICROSOFT TO MAKE A VERSION FOR WINDOWS XP please?!

      WHY DOESNT IE9 WORK ON XP ?
      Because Internet Explorer 9 uses Direct2D for hardware acceleration which is unavailable in Windows XP. If you want to use a modern browser, use a modern operating system.

      Sorry, It won't happen. Do you have a few million to finance the R&D?

      It is not XP per se... but the next generation of CPU's and internet connections that are needed (hardware and driver improvements) that the next generation of IE can take advantage of.

      I have seen some pretty good deals on Win7 bundles with new PC's/laptops... It may be time to upgrade your machine to the next generation. XP is nealy 10 years old.
