      Answer

After installing Internet Explorer 9 on a Windows Vista computer, the Windows Mail attachment icon is no longer visible, or it may be grayed out in the preview pane. This is a known issue in Windows Mail, and can be resolved by installing the latest email program, Windows Live Mail.

You can download Windows Live Mail for free here. Windows Live Mail is allows you to see multiple email accounts like Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo all in one place. You can also see your email, calendars, and contacts when you don’t have an Internet Connection.

For more information about Windows Live Mail, and how to install it, see Looking for Windows Mail?

For help importing your email from Windows Mail, see Importing your e-mail, contacts, and calendar into Windows Live Mail.
