  • Displaying the feature guide for the digital zoom

    • The feature guide description of the digital zoom function that appears on the LCD monitor of the EOS 600D may need to be clarified slightly. As such, we are revising this description.

      Answer :



      When using the digital zoom, the image can be magnified while maintaining the full HD image size of [1920×1080]. However, because the image is processed digitally, the higher the magnification, the rougher the image will look. Please refer to p.152 of the user’s manual for full information about use of the digital zoom.

      Displaying the feature guide for the digital zoom

      The digital zoom function for full HD shooting is a new feature on the EOS 600D. You can display the feature guide description for the digital zoom function by following the steps below. 

      1. Under the Set-up 2 tab in the camera’s MENU, select [Feature Guide], and then select [Enable].
      2. Set the Mode Dial to <Movie_camera>.
      3. Select the Q button (Quick button) to select the movie recording size.
      4. Point the cursor to the <Digital_zoom> icon under the Digital zoom section and the message “Full HD image quality: approx. 3-10x digital zoom available” will appear at the bottom of the LCD monitor.

  • Saving Movies on DVDs or Blu-ray Discs

    • The software that comes with the camera does not have a function for saving movies or still images that have been imported to a PC on DVDs or Blu-ray discs. Please use commercially available software to make DVDs or Blu-ray discs. 
      Note that you cannot connect your camera to a commercially available DVD/Blu-ray recorder with cables to import movies or still photos.


      NOTE

      Using ZoomBrowser EX, which comes with your camera, you can record still images on CD-R/RW discs. For further information, please refer to Saving images to CD-R/CD-RW discs (ZoomBrowser EX Ver6.7).


      REFERENCE

      • To view movies on a DVD playback device (such as a DVD player), it is necessary to convert your movie files to a type that can be played back on a DVD playback device by using what is generally called "DVD authoring software." Please refer to the instruction manual supplied with your camera for information about file types for images.
      • It may not be possible to play back the discs you have created on some playback devices. When you use commercially available software, please see the instruction manuals to check the specifications of the playback device in use.

  • Changing the AF Mode to Use the Live View Function to Shoot Still Photos and Movies (EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D)

    • With your camera, you can shoot photos while viewing the image on the camera's LCD monitor. This is called "Live View shooting." 
      This page describes how to change the focus mode for Live View shooting. For details on how to perform easy Live View shooting in default settings, please refer to the related information. 
      Please note that some shooting procedures differ between still photos and movies. To shoot still photos, please refer to the instructions for still photos, and to shoot movies, please refer to the instructions for movies.

      Part I. Preparing for Live View Shooting

      1. Turn the camera's power switch to .
      For the details about how to open the LCD monitor, see How to use the vari-angle LCD monitor of the EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D.

      2. Turn the Mode Dial to set the shooting mode.

      • To shoot still photos, you can select all modes except for Movie shooting mode.
      • To shoot movies, select <  > (Movie shooting).

      To use AF to focus, please proceed to Part II. To focus manually, please proceed to Part III.
      Part II, and III describe common procedures for still photos and movies.

      Part II. Selecting the AF Mode

      3. Set the lens focus mode switch to . 

      4. Make sure that the camera is ready to take shots, and then press the

      button.

      5. Press the to select tabs on the MENU screen.

      • To shoot still photos, select the [  ] tab, and then select [Enable] in the [Live View shoot.] option.
      • To shoot movies, select the [  ] tab, and then select [Auto] or [Manual] in the [Movie exposure] option.


      NOTE

      If you select [Manual] for the movie exposure in movie shooting mode, you can set your own values for ISO speed, shutter speed, and aperture. For more information, please refer to the instruction manuals that came with your camera.

      6. Select the [AF mode], and then press the button.

      7. Select the AF mode, and then press the button.


      NOTE


      While the image is displayed on the LCD monitor, pressing the <  > button will enable you to set the AF mode etc. on the Quick Control Screen
      For more information, please refer to the instruction manuals that came with your camera.


      8. Select the image-recording quality for still images or the movie-recording size for movies.

      • For still images, select [Quality] from the [  ] tab, press the button, and then select the image quality from the screen that appears.
      • For movies, select [Movie rec. size] from the [  ] tab, press the button, and then select the recording size from the screen that appears.

      For more information about the image quality of still images and the recording size of movies, please refer to the instruction manuals that came with your camera. 

      9. To shoot still photos, press the <  > (Live View shooting/Movie shooting) button, or to shoot movies, press the

      button, and then close the menu window. An image will appear on the LCD monitor.

      Please proceed to Part II 1 to 3 depending on the AF mode setting.

      Part II-1 Using AF (Live Mode) to Focus

      When [Live mode] (  ) is set:
      The image sensor is used to focus. Although AF is possible with the Live View image displayed, the AF operation will take longer than with Quick mode. Also, achieving focus may be more difficult than with Quick mode.
      [Live mode] is set by default.


      NOTE

      About [Digital zoom]
      When the image size is set to [1920x1080] (Full HD), you can shoot with an approx. 3x to 10x digital zoom.


      • Focusing is done in [Live mode] or in [  (Face detection) Live Mode].
      • For more information about the [Digital zoom], please refer to the instruction manuals that came with yur camera.

      10. Move the AF point.

      • Press the to move the AF point to where you want to focus (it cannot go to the edges of the picture).
      • To return the AF point to the center, press the button or <  > button.


      11. Aim the AF point over the subject and press the shutter button halfway.


      • When focus is achieved, the AF point will turn green and the beeper will sound.
      • If focus is not achieved, the AF point will turn orange.

      Please proceed to Part IV.

      Part II-2. Using AF (Face detection Live Mode) to Focus

      When [  (Face Detection) Live mode] is set:
      With the same AF method as the Live mode, human faces are detected and focused. Have the target person face the camera.

      10. When you press the <  > button, the Quick Control screen will appear. The settable functions will be highlighted in blue.

      With the <  > (Cross Keys), select [  ] (  (Face detection) Live Mode) as shown in the image below. 
      Note that the Quick Control menu display will disappear a few seconds after an item has been selected.

      11. Focus the target face.

      • When a face is detected, the [  ] frame will appear over the face to be focused.
      • If multiple faces are detected, [  ] will be displayed. Press the to move the [ ] frame over the target face.


      12. Press the shutter button halfway and the camera will focus the face covered by the [  ] frame.


      • When focus is achieved, the AF point will turn green and the beeper will sound.
      • If focus is not achieved, the AF point will turn orange.
      • If a face cannot be detected, the AF point [  ] will be displayed and AF will be executed at the center.


      ATTENTION


      Notes when shooting in [  (Face detection) Live Mode]
      • If the focus is way off, face detection will not be possible. If the lens enables manual focusing even while the lens focus mode switch is set to , turn the focusing ring to attain rough focus. The face will then be detected and [  ] will be displayed.
      • Face detection will not work if the face is very small or large in the picture, too bright or too dark, titled horizontally or diagonally, or partially hidden.

      Please proceed to Part IV.

      Part II-3. Using AF (Quick Mode) to Focus

      When [Quick mode](  ) is set:
      The dedicated AF sensor is used to focus in the same way as with viewfinder shooting. Although you can focus the desired area quickly, the Live View image will be interrupted momentarily during the AF operation.


      NOTE

      • When the movie recording size is [1920×1080 30fps] or when the movie recording size is [1920×1080 24fps] and the [Digital zoom] is set, [Quick mode] cannot be selected. Focusing is done in [Live mode] or in [  (Face detection) Live mode].
      • If the AF mode is [Quick mode] and the [Digital zoom] is set, the AF mode will automatically switch to [Live mode].
      • For more information about the [Digital zoom], please refer to the instruction manuals that came with your camera.

      10. The small boxes on the screen are the AF points, and the larger box is the magnifying frame.

      11. When you press the <  > button, the Quick Control screen will appear. The settable functions will be highlighted in blue.

      Press the <  >(Cross Keys) to select [  ] (Quick mode).

      12. Select the AF point. Press the <  > (Cross Keys) to make the AF point selectable. Turn the

      to select the AF point.

      13. Aim the AF point over the subject and press the shutter button halfway.(Keep the shutter pressed.)

      14. The Live View image will turn off, the reflex mirror will go back down, and AF will be executed. 

      • When focus is achieved, the beeper will sound and the Live View image will reappear.
      • The AF point used to focus will light in red.


      Please proceed to Part IV.

      Part III. Focusing Manually

      You can magnify the image and focus precisely manually.

      3. Once you have proceeded up to Step 2 of Part I, set the lens focus mode switch to .

      4. To shoot still photos, make sure that the camera is ready to take shots, and then press the < >(Live View shooting) button. To shoot movies, set the Mode Dial to <  >.

      5. The Live View image will appear on the LCD monitor.
      Turn the lens focusing ring to focus roughly.

      6. Press the to move the magnifying frame to the position where you want to focus.

      To return the AF point to the center, press the button or <  > button.

      7. Press the <  > (Magnifying) button to magnify the area within the frame.



      Each time you press the <  > button, the display format will change as follows: 
      Normal view -> Approx. 5x -> Approx. 10x -> Normal view


      NOTE


      When the digital zoom is set, press the <  > button or the <  > button while holding down the button to zoom in or out.
      • button + <  > button : zoom in
      • button + <  > button : zoom out

      8. While looking at the Live View image on the LCD monitor, turn the focusing ring to focus manually. 

      9. After achieving focus, press the <  > (Magnifying) button to check the image composition in normal view.

      Part IV. Shooting

      After focus is achieved by following the instructions in Part II-III, start shooting.

      To shoot still photos, press the shutter button completely.

      • The picture will be taken and the captured image is displayed on the LCD monitor.
      • After the image review ends, the camera will return to Live View shooting automatically.

      To shoot movies, press <  >.

      • To stop shooting the movie, press <  > again.
      • While the movie is being shot, the "  " mark will be displayed on the upper right of the screen.

      General Note for Live View Shooting

      Please be aware of the following notes for Live View shooting.

      ATTENTION

      Notes About the Live View Image
      • Under low or bright light conditions, the Live View image might not reflect the brightness of the captured image.
      • If the light source within the image changes, the screen might flicker. If this happens, stop and resume the Live View shooting under the actual light source to be used.
      • If you point the camera in a different direction, it might throw off the Live View image's correct brightness momentarily. Wait until the brightness level stabilizes before shooting.


      White [  ] and Red [  ] Internal Temperature Warning Icons
      • If the camera’s internal temperature increases due to prolonged Live View shooting or a high ambient temperature, a white [  ] icon will appear. If you continue shooting while this icon is displayed, the image quality of still photos may deteriorate. You should stop the Live View shooting and allow the camera to cool down before shooting again.
      • If the camera’s internal temperature further increases while the white [  ] icon is displayed, a red [  ] icon will start blinking. This blinking icon is a warning that the Live View shooting will soon be terminated automatically. If this happens, you will not be able to shoot again until the camera’s internal temperature decreases. Turn off the power and let the camera rest for a while.
      • Shooting with the Live View function at a high temperature for a prolonged period will cause the [  ] and [  ] icons to appear earlier. When not shooting, turn off the camera.


      Live Mode and  (Face Detection) Live Mode Notes
      • Focusing will take slightly longer.
      • Even when focus has been achieved, pressing the shutter button halfway will focus again.
      • The image brightness may change during and after the AF operation.
      • If the light source changes while the Live View image is displayed, the screen might flicker and focusing can be difficult. If this happens, stop the Live View shooting and autofocus under the actual light source first.


      NOTE

      When shooting with the camera connected to a TV
      If you shoot in Live View with the camera connected to a TV, you can use the TV screen as the LCD monitor. This is convenient when you want to enlarge what you want to shoot to check the details. However, when connecting the camera to the TV with an HDMI cable, please be aware of the following points. 
      • When the camera is connected to a TV set via HDMI cable, the camera will read the information on the TV set's compatible video input signals. The camera then selects the optimum video output signal (1080/60i, 1080/50i, 480/60p, or 576/50p) and the video is displayed.
      • When you are not shooting, the camera outputs the video at the ratio displayed on the LCD monitor as is, so it is not possible to use the whole screen for a 16:9 display.
      • When movie shooting starts, the video signal will automatically switch to 480/60p or 576/50p due to the imaging engine's compatible limits, resulting in a smaller image size (the size will vary according to the size of the TV screen). However, many HD TV sets will automatically try and fit the image to 16:9, so it will look unnatural with the image stretched horizontally.
      • If you connect the camera to a TV set and shoot a movie, the TV will not output any sound during the shooting. However, the sound will be properly recorded.

  • Shooting movies with the default settings　(EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D)

    • This page describes how to shoot movies with the default settings. 
      For details on how to change settings to shoot movies, please refer to the Related Information.


      IMPORTANT


      When shooting movies, use a large-capacity SD card rated SD Speed Class 6 "" or higher. If you use a slow-writing card when shooting movies, the movie might not be recorded properly. And if you playback a movie on a card having a slow reading speed, the movie might not playback properly.

      1. Set the power switch to .

      2. Set the lens focus mode switch to .

      3. Set the Mode Dial to <  >.
      The reflex mirror will make a sound, then the image will appear on the LCD monitor.

      4. The AF point will appear. Press the to move the AF point to where you want to focus.

      • It cannot go to the edges of the picture.
      • To return the AF point to the center, press the button or <  > button.


      5. Aim the AF point over the subject and press the shutter button halfway.

      6. Press the <  > (Movie shooting) button to start shooting a movie.

      While the movie is being shot, the "  " mark will be displayed on the upper right of the screen.

      7. To stop movie shooting, press <  > again.


      ATTENTION

      During movie shooting, do not point the lens toward the sun. The sun's heat can damage the camera's internal components.

      NOTE

      Recording and Image Quality
      • The movie file format will be MOV.
      • After you start shooting a movie, the movie shooting will stop automatically if the file size reaches 4 GB or if the movie length reaches 29 min. 59 sec. To start movie shooting again, press the <  > button. (A new movie file starts being recorded.)
      • The camera's built-in microphone will also pick up camera operation noise. If you use a commercially-available external microphone, you can prevent (or reduce) these noises from being recorded.

      Playback and TV connection
      • If you connect the camera to a TV set with an HDMI cable and shoot a movie in [1920x1080] or [1280x720], the movie being shot will be displayed at a small size on the TV. However, the actual movie will be properly recorded at the movie recording size that was set.
      • If you connect the camera to a TV set and shoot a movie, the TV will not output any sound during the shooting. However, the sound will be properly recorded.


      IMPORTANT


      White [  ] and Red [  ] Internal Temperature Warning Icons
      • If the camera's internal temperature increases due to prolonged movie shooting or a high ambient temperature, a white [  ] icon will appear. Even if you shoot a movie while this icon is displayed, the movie's image quality will not be affected. However, if you shoot still photos, the image quality of the still photos may deteriorate. You should stop shooting still photos and allow the camera to cool down.
      • If the camera’s internal temperature further increases while the white [  ] icon is displayed, a red [  ] icon may start blinking. This blinking icon is a warning that movie shooting will soon be terminated automatically. If this happens, you will not be able to shoot again until the camera's internal temperature decreases. Turn off the power and let the camera rest for a while.
      • Movie shooting at a high temperature for a prolonged period will cause the [  ] and [  ] icons to appear sooner. When not shooting, turn off the camera.

  • How do I take video snapshots? (EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D)

    • This camera comes equipped with a function for creating short movie clips called "video snapshots."
      A video snapshot is a short movie shot in one take that lasts for a few seconds. If you set the length of one scene (approximately 2, 4, or 8 seconds) and start shooting movies, the shooting will end after the set amount of time passes. If you shoot a number of video snapshots in this way, you can record them as a "video snapshot album," a single movie file recorded on the memory card. 
      A video snapshot album can also be played together with background music.

      In this section, the operations involved in shooting video snapshots are explained in the steps below. 
      (1) Setting the Video Snapshot Shooting Duration
      (2) Creating a Video Snapshot Album
      (3) Playing an Album
      (4) Playing together with Background Music (if adding other music to the video snapshot)

      Setting the Video Snapshot Shooting Duration

      1. Set the power switch to .

      2. Set the mode dial to <  >(Movie).

      3. Press the

      button to bring up the menu display, then select [Video snapshot] under the [  ] tab. Press the button.

      4. Select the [Video snapshot] shooting duration.

      • Press the to select the video snapshot shooting duration, then press the button.
      • You can select approx. 2 sec., 4 sec., or 8 sec.
      • Press the button to exit the menu and return to movie shooting.


      Creating a Video Snapshot Album

      5. Press the <  > button to shoot the first video snapshot.
      • The blue bars indicating the shooting duration will gradually decrease. After the set shooting duration elapses, the shooting stops automatically.
      • After the LCD monitor turns off and the access lamp stops blinking, the confirmation screen will appear.


      6. Press the to select [  Save as album], then press the button.
      The movie clip will be saved as the video snapshot album’s first video snapshot.

      Items that can be selected on this screen

      8. Set [Video snapshot] to [Disable]. Press the

      button to exit the menu and return to normal movie shooting.


      IMPORTANT

      To return to normal movie shooting, be sure to set [Video snapshot] to [Disable].



      NOTE

      • You can add to an album only video snapshots having the same duration (approx. 2 sec., 4 sec., or 8 sec. each). If you stop shooting a video snapshot before the set shooting duration elapses, the video snapshot will be added to the preceding album. And a new album will be created for subsequent video snapshots.
      • You cannot change the order of the video snapshots in an album or add more video snapshots to the album later.
      • You cannot take still photos while shooting a video snapshot.
      • The shooting duration of a video snapshot is only approximate. Depending on the frame rate, the shooting duration displayed during playback might not be exact.

      Playing an Album

      You can play back video snapshot albums that you have created by following the procedures below.

      9. Press the <  > button. Press the to select an album, then press the button.

      • During the single-image display, the [  ] icon displayed on the upper left of the screen indicates that it is a video snapshot album.
      • During the index display, the perforation on the left edge of the image indicates that it is a video snapshot album. Video snapshot albums cannot be played on the index display, so press the button to switch to the single-image display.


      10. On the single-image display, press the button.
      The movie playback panel will appear on the bottom.

      11. Press the to select [  ], and then press the button to start playing the movie.

      • You can pause the movie playback by pressing the button.
      • For further information for the movie playback panel, please refer to the instruction manuals that came with your camera.


      Playing together with Background Music (if adding other music to the video snapshot)

      To add background music to your video snapshots, follow the steps below. 
      These steps are not necessary when using the music recorded at the same time that the video snapshots were shot.

      IMPORTANT

      • Upon purchase, the camera is not set for selecting the background music. You must first use EOS Utility (provided software) to copy the background music to the card. For details, see the EOS Utility Instruction Manual in the CD-ROM.
      • Music recorded on the memory card must be used only for private enjoyment. Do not violate the rights of the copyright holder.

      12. When you have reached Step 10 above, press the to select the background music item, and then press the button. 

      13. Set [Background music] to [On], then press the button.

      14. Press the to select the desired background music then press the button.

      • You can also select multiple background musics.
      • To hear a sample of a background music, press the button. Press the to listen to another background music. To stop listening to the background music, press the button again.
      • Adjust the sound volume by turning the
        .


      15. After selecting the setting, press the

      button.

  • External microphones that can be used with the EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D

    • You can use a commercially available external microphone that is equipped with a stereo mini plug whose size is 3.5 mm in diameter with the camera.


      NOTE

      • It is possible to use a microphone that supports plug-in power (which is supplied from a camera to the microphone) because the EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D is compatible with plug-in power.
      • It is possible to use a condenser microphone. However, it is not possible to use a condenser microphone that requires phantom power (which is supplied from external power equipment to the microphone).
      • It is not possible to use a dynamic microphone.
      • The impedance of the microphones that can be used with the camera is around 200 Ω to 2KΩ.

      Using Manual Exposure

      When the [Movie exposure] is set to [Manual], you can manually set the ISO speed, shutter speed, and aperture for movie shooting. Using manual exposure to shoot movies is for advanced users.

      Shutter speedTo set the shutter speed, turn the <Main Dial>. The settable shutter speeds depend on the frame rate.

      ATTENTION

      • With Auto ISO, the correct movie exposure will usually be obtained even if the light level changes.
      • When shooting a movie of a moving subject, a shutter speed of 1/30 sec. to 1/125 sec. is recommended. The faster the shutter speed, the less smooth the subject's movement will look.
      • Changing the aperture during movie shooting is not recommended since variations in the exposure, due to the drive of the lens aperture, will be recorded.

  • Can Still Photos Be Taken During Movie Shooting? (EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D)

    • While shooting a movie, you can also take a still photo by pressing the shutter button completely.

      Functions particular to still shooting are shown below. Other functions will be the same as for movie shooting.

  • Compatible Remote Switch (EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D)

    • Remote Controller and Remote Switch

      You can use Timer Remote Controller RC-6 or Remote Switch RS-60E3 (both sold separately) to the camera and shoot with it.


      NOTE

      • For details on these accessories' operation procedures, see the respective instruction manuals.
      • In addition to the accessories above, you can use Remote Controller RC-1/RC-5 (sold separately). It can also be used when shooting movies. However, the RC-5 cannot be used to take still images in the Movie shooting mode.



      Remote Control Shooting

      Remote controller RC-6 (Sold separately) enables you to take pictures wirelessly up to about 5 meters/16.4 feet from the camera. You can either shoot immediately or use a 2-sec. delay.

      1. Flip out the LCD monitor, and then set the power switch to . For the details about how to open the LCD monitor, see How to use the vari-angle LCD monitor of the EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D.

      2. Press <  >(Drive mode selection button) when the camera is ready to shoot.

      3. Press the to select [  ](Self-timer:10sec/Remote control), and then press the button.

      4. Point the remote controller toward the camera's remote control sensor and press the transmit button.

      5. The camera will autofocus. When focus is achieved, the self-timer lamp will light and the picture will be taken.


      ATTENTION

      Camera misoperation may occur near certain types of fluorescent lights. During wireless remote control, try to keep the camera away from fluorescent light.

      NOTE

      When shooting movies
      Start and stop move shooting using the Remote Controller RC-6 (sold separately). 

      If you set the shooting timing switch to the <2> position and press the transmit button, movie shooting will start. If the switch is set to <  > (immediate shooting), still photo shooting will take effect.

      Connecting the Remote Switch

      Remote Switch RS-60E3 (sold separately) comes with an approx. 60 cm/2.0 ft cord. When connected to the camera’s remote control terminal, Remote Switch RS-60E3 can be used to press the shutter button halfway and completely.

      1. Open the terminal cover.

      2. Connect the plug to the remote control terminal.

      To disconnect the plug, grasp the plug's silver part and pull out.

  • Editing the Movies with the Camera (EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D) (Editing the First and Last Scenes of a Movie)

    • With your camera, you can edit out the first and last scenes of a movie in 1-sec. increments. You can select [Overwrite] to save and overwrite the original movie, or [New file] to save the movie as a new movie. This operation is carried on the movie playback screen.

      1. Set the power switch to .

      2. Press the <  > to display the image.

      3. Press the to select the image.

      • During the single-image display, the [  ] icon displayed on the upper left indicates that it is a movie.
      • During the index display, the perforation on the left edge of the image indicates that it is a movie. Movies cannot be played on the index display, so press the button to switch to the single-image display.


      4. On the single-image display, press the button.
      The movie playback panel will appear on the bottom.

      5. Press the to select [  ], then press the button.
      The editing screen will be displayed.

      6. Specify the parts to be edited out.

      6-1. Press the to select either [  ] (Cut beginning) or [  ] (Cut end), then press the button.


      6-2. Press the to see the previous or next frames. Holding it down will fast forward the frames.

      • After deciding which part to edit out, press the button.
      • The portion highlighted in blue on the top of the screen is what will remain.
      • Since the editing is done in 1-sec. increments (position indicated by [  ]), the exact position where the movie is edited may differ slightly from the position you specified.





      7. Check the editing.

      • Press the to select [  ], and then press the button to playback the portion highlighted in blue.
      • To change the editing, go back to step 6.
      • To cancel the editing, select [  ] and press the button.


      8. Press the to select [  ], then press the button to save the movie. The save screen will appear.
      To save it as a new movie, select [New file]. Or to save it and overwrite the original movie file, select [Overwrite]. Then press the button.


      NOTE

      If the card does not have enough space to save the movie, only [Overwrite] can be selected.

  • How to use the vari-angle LCD monitor of the EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D

    • After you flip out the LCD monitor, you can set menu functions, use Live View shooting, shoot movies, and playback images and movies. You can change the direction and angle of the LCD monitor.

      1. Flip out the LCD monitor.

      2. When the LCD monitor is swung out, you can rotate it up or down or face it forward toward the subject.
      The indicated angle is only approximate.

      3. Normally, face the LCD monitor toward you.


      ATTENTION

      Be careful not to force and break the hinge when rotating the LCD monitor.

      NOTE

      • When not using the camera, close the LCD monitor back with the screen facing inward. This will protect the screen.
      • During Live View shooting or movie shooting, facing the LCD monitor toward the subject will display a mirror image on the screen.
      • Depending on the angle of the LCD monitor, the display may turn off right before the LCD monitor is closed.
