    Cleaning a LCD panel

    • Answer
    • What can I use to clean my LCD screen?

To keep a LCD panel clean, use a soft cotton cloth to remove dust and normal dirt. In case you need to remove bigger stains, try with a moist soft cotton cloth instead. As cleaning solution, use distilled water or mix 50 % water and 50 % normal white vinegar.

      PRECAUTION

      • Make sure to power off the LCD panel before cleaning.
      • Avoid putting pressure on the panel, do not scrub or rub. Just push the cloth no more than to keep contact with the surface. Uneven or high pressure may damage the panel.
      • Avoid the use of strong detergents as acetone, ethyl alcohol or ammonia that may damage the LCD panel.
      • Avoid using clothes with ragged edges, or paper as these could scratch the panel.
      • Do not spray liquid directly onto the panel, but spray the cleaning solution onto a cloth instead. Take care that liquids do not leak into the housing of the LCD panel.
