Setting up an Exchange account in Android 2.2, 2.3 or 3.1

    • Answer
    • How do I configure an Exchange email account on my Android smartphone or tablet?

Android 2.2, 2.3 and 3.1 support Microsoft Exchange accounts through their default mail application. Use the following steps to configure your Exchange account:

      1. Open the Applications tab and tap Settings.
      2. Tap Account & Sync.
      3. Tap Add account. In the list of available account types, tap Corporate.
      4. Enter the email address and the password for your Exchange account.
      5. The system will try to retrieve the account information automatically. If this does not work, please contact the administrator of your Exchange server for the information you need to configure the account.
      6. Tap Next to confirm the settings. The program will verify the settings and start the synchronisation.

      NOTE

These instructions are given as-is and describe the normal steps needed to configure the email client for sending and receiving emails via Exchange. As the configuration details are dependent on your server, Acer cannot provide further support. If you encounter problems in the configuration, or in sending and receiving email, please contact your system administrator.

      MORE INFORMATION

In case your device does not show the option for a Corporate account, please ensure the latest version of the Android software is installed.
