    Using the BT Hub Phone

    • Answer
    • The BT Home Hub 3 isn't compatible with any of the BT Hub Phones and doesn't support BT Broadband Talk.

The BT Hub Phone is a digital cordless telephone that works with your BT Home Hub 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0. You use it to make calls over your BT Broadband line. The Hub Phone will also make and receive landline calls.

      Getting started:

To get started with your BT Hub Phone, follow the set up instructions in the quickstart guide that is in your welcome pack.

Direct incoming landline calls to your Hub Phone:

You can change whether your BT Hub Phone rings for landline and/or Broadband Talk calls. On the computer connected to your Home Hub, go to http://bthomehub.home and go to the 'telephone settings' page.

Make outgoing landline calls on your Hub Phone:

Once BT Broadband Talk is set up, pick up your BT Hub Phone and dial 5 to toggle between the landline service and the broadband network.

When you are connected to broadband network, you will hear a higher dialling tone. When you are connected to the landline service, you will hear the normal dialling tone. Remember that you'll need to be connected to the broadband network to take advantage of BT Broadband Talk calling rates.
