Can I convert HD (high definition image quality) movies to STD (standard image quality) movies and save them on a DVD disc using the DVD Writer VRD-P1?

You cannot convert HD movies to STD movies and copy them.
To record STD movies, select [MENU] --> [Image Quality/Size] --> [HD/STD Setting] --> [STD Quality] before recording.
To convert HD movies already recorded to STD movies and save them on a DVD disc, use the supplied software, PMB.
