I connected the camera to the Windows® XP computer, but the Check the connected device. message appears and the camera is not recognized.

This happens when the version of Windows Media Player installed on the computer is Ver.10.
In this case, disconnect the camera, select [MENU] --> (Settings) > (Main Settings) --> [USB Connect Setting] --> [Mass Storage], and connect the camera and the computer again.
