The camcorder is not recognized when connected to a Windows® computer other than Windows XP.

Check the USB Connect Setting.
The default setting is [Auto], however, it changes to [Mass Storage] when the camcorder is connected to the Windows® XP computer. Change the setting back to [Auto].
