What are the differences among each SteadyShot mode?

    • Answer
    • The description of each setting is as follows.
*Only [On] or [Off] can be selected as a SteadyShot mode for photos.

      [Active]

This is the default and recommended setting for this camcorder. It compensates rotating vibration as well as horizontal/vertical vibration which can be compensated in [Standard]. This mode is recommended when you are under conditions more susceptible to vibration such as while walking. This mode does not work while recording in [Smth Slw REC]. Also, the angle of view will be narrower than that of the [Standard] mode.

      [Standard]

The lens itself slides in the horizontal/vertical direction to compensate the position of the optical axis. This mode is suitable for wide-angle images and the relatively stable conditions such as when shooting while standing. Intelligent Auto mode is canceled automatically.

      [Off]

This mode does not use SteadyShot. This setting is recommended to shoot natural movies. Intelligent Auto mode is canceled automatically.
