When using Mac OS, can I disconnect the USB cable right away?

When you disconnect the USB cable or remove a memory card while it is connected to the computer, operate as follows. Note that the stored data may be damaged if you do not follow the appropriate operation.
After confirming the access lamp is turned off, drag and drop the drive icon or the icon of the memory card to the Trash icon, then disconnect the USB cable or remove a memory card.
