How do I enter the message centre number on my Sony Ericsson phone?

X10 and X8

To save you from having to edit the message centre number when you insert a new SIM, the phone automatically reads the number off your SIM card and can not be edited.

To check/change the message centre number:

1. Press Menu (white key) 
2. Tap Messaging
3. Tap Options (left soft key)
4. Tap Settings
5. Tap Text message 
6. Tap Message centres
7. Tap Options (left soft key)
8. Tap New message centre
9. Tap Message centre name and tap on the word box, then enter a name for your message centre then tap the Green tick
10. Tap OK
11. Tap Message centre number and tap on the word box, then enter either, Pay Monthly +447802000332 or Pay & Go +447802092035
12. Tap the Green tick then tap OK
13. Tap Back (right soft key) twice
14. Tap Message centre in use
15. Tap your new message centre.

2. Highlight Settings and Select (press Navi key)
3. Highlight Connectivity and Select (press Navi key)
4. Highlight Message settings and Select (press Navi key)
5. Highlight Text message and Select (press Navi key)
6. Highlight Service centre and Edit (press Navi key)
7. Highlight New ServiceCentre and Add
8. Enter either, Pay Monthly: +447802000332 or Pay & Go: +447802092035 
9. Press Save (press Navi key) 
10. You will now see the message "Set as active service centre?". Select Yes (press Navi key).
