transferring contacts to iPhone
-
Transferring your contacts to your new phone can be done in a number of ways, which ever you prefer. Details and step by step guides can be found below:
For non iPhone users please see transfer your contacts.
Important: It's recommended that the transfer contacts process is completed after you have received your Wi-Fi SMS. This message provides you with your login and password to access BT Openzone Wi-Fi access hotspots around the UK , providing you high speed internet access. This will be sent to you on the day of connection, following your SIM updates. The instructions on this message should be followed to set up. Should you experience issues receiving this SMS, please see what do I do if I've lost my iPhone Wi-Fi password? for instructions on how to request a new password.
If your old device is an iPhone we recommend copying your contacts from your iTunes account. It's advisable to check your contacts are up to date before activating your new phone.
If you're planning to recycle your old phone, you must ensure that you have saved and copied your contacts whilst in store. Copying from your old SIM card is not possible with the new iPhone 4 due to it using a different SIM size.

How do I add photos to my contacts on my iPhone?
-
Why not add photos to your contacts so you can see them when they call?
First, you need to get a photo or picture - there's a few ways to do this:- Save a photo from Facebook: Open the Facebook app and find the photo you want. Once you've got it open, tap the screen to hide the status bar at the top of the screen and take a screenshot by pressing the Sleep/Wake button (on the top of your iPhone) and the Home button (on the front) at the same time.
- Save a picture from a picture message (MMS): Tap the image in the conversation, tap
, and tap 'Save Image'
- Take a photo on your iPhone: Tap Camera
then aim and take your photo
- Save a picture from the internet or an email: Touch and hold the image, then tap 'Save Image'
Now you've saved your photo, you just need to add it to a contact.
- From the home screen, tap Photos
and find your photo (if you've only just saved it, it should be the last one)
- Tap
, 'Assign to Contact' and choose your contact from the list
- Drag and pinch to pan and zoom the photo until you've got it the way you want it to look
- Tap 'Set Photo'

How do I backup and restore my BlackBerry Messenger contacts?
-
If you upgrade your phone you can back up and restore your BlackBerry Messenger contacts, profile, and group membership using BlackBerry Messengers own back up and restore feature.
The BlackBerry Messenger service uses one of your e-mail addresses integrated on your phone as an identifier of your backed up data, and will only restore your BBM information to a device where the same e-mail address has been integrated. This ensures your personal information remains secure.
You need to have e-mail successfully set-up on your device in order to back or restore your BBM information. You can also back up and restore using BlackBerry Desktop Manager on a computer.
