Is my BlackBerry connected to the network and ready to use?

    • Answer
    • Once you have inserted your active SIM card into your phone you should see GPRS, EDGE or 3G (in capital letters) with dots after it if in the right corner of the phone, this shows that your phone is registered to the O2 and BlackBerry Network and ready to use. If your phone is showing OFF if the right corner, from the Home Screen click the Manage Connections

icon, and ensure the Mobile Network box has a tick in it.

If your phone is showing gprs, edge, gsm, or 3g (in lower case letters) in the right corner of the phone then your phone is connected to the O2 network, but not the BlackBerry network. You should take your battery out and put it back in again which try to reconnect the BlackBerry network, if that fails you will need to contact O2 Customer Services to check your sim card has been provisioned for BlackBerry.
