Quit PlayStation 3 format software

Find out how to quit playing a PS3 game.

To quit a title during gameplay, press the PS button on the wireless controller to display the XMB (XrossMediaBar) Menu. Then select Game > [Quit Game].

Note:

• Depending on the type of software, such as PlayStation® format software, [Quit Game] may not be displayed when the PS button is pressed. In this case, select [Quit Game] from the screen that is displayed.
• The XMB Menu screen cannot be displayed when you are playing certain PlayStation 3 format software titles. In this case, the screen showing options to quit the game, turn off the system and other settings will be displayed.
