    What do I need to be able to use the Home Energy Top Up system on my computer?

    • Home Energy Top Up can be used on a PC or laptop, not a Mac.

      To use Home Energy Top Up, your PC or laptop should have:

      • Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
      • Internet Explorer 6.0 7.0 or 8.0
      • a USB port

      How to check what version of Internet Explorer you have:

      1. go to the Control Panel.
      2. go to System
      3. system Properties will appear which will tell you if you are using one of the compatible Windows systems.
      4. if you have Internet Explorer, open an internet browser window.
      5. go to Help in the control bar.
      6. select About Internet Explorer.
      7. a box will appear to tell you which version of Internet Explorer you have.
