-
The reason behind why you have changed your name determines what you’ll need to send us:
Reason change of name is required
What we need
Change of gender
A covering letter with a copy of the change of name deed poll document and also the documented proof of gender change.
Marriage
A covering letter with a copy of the marriage certificate.
Divorce
A covering letter with a copy of the decree nisi and a copy of your birth certificate.
Other reason
A covering letter with a copy of the change of name deed poll document.
All letters must be from the account holder and must show your old and new signatures.
If you’d like to use our covering letter rather than writing your own then you can download it and print it out.
You need to either fax or post the required documents and your letter to:
Correspondence Department
Orange PCS
Mercia House
Senhouse Road
Lingfield Way
Darlington
County Durham
DL1 4YB
Fax
0870 374 8162
If you would prefer to fax your documents rather than post them but don’t have access to a fax machine then you can go to an Orange shop and they should be able to fax them for you.
Your request will be actioned within 3 working days of receipt of your letter or fax, but please be aware that your next bill may have your previous name on it due to our bill and print times.
