On the iPhone you can set an infinite number of mail accounts that let you access your emails as if you were on your computer. Here's how to configure these account:
From the home screen of the iPhone, go into the Settings menu.
Then tap the category Mails Contacts Calendar, and select Add Account.
- The iPhone displays a selection of accounts you can choose:
- Microsoft Exchange - see how do I use my iPhone to connect to Microsoft Exchange?.
- MobileMe - see how do I use my iPhone to connect to MobileMe?.
- Google Mail (Gmail)
- Yahoo! Mail
- AOL
- Other
- Enter information related to your mail accounts, and tap Save.
- If you configure an email account from another service provider than those pre-registered in the iPhone, select Other. The iPhone can automatically configure mail accounts using POP and IMAP protocols most commonly from your email address and your password.
- If the iPhone cannot find the necessary parameters to configure your mail account, see the documentation for your mail provider about manually configuring an account.
