Can I retrieve my Hotmail email on my iPhone?
-
To set up Windows Live Hotmail on your iPhone, follow these steps:
- From the home screen, tap Settings > Mail > Add Account > Other > Add Mail Account
- Enter Name, Hotmail address (that's your Windows Live ID, e.g. "dan@hotmail.com") and Hotmail password
Note: If you get an error message about subscribing to "Windows Live Hotmail Plus", just press "OK" to ignore it. POP3 access is now available for free for all Windows Live Hotmail customers.
- Click "Save"
It should take a while to confirm and setup your account. Your account will be automatically configured at this point without further action from you. - You're done! Now go to the Mail app and start downloading your Hotmail messages.
Note: The first download from POP3 servers could take up to 5 minutes for the first sync.
If for any reason your iPhone doesn't auto-populate the server information, you can set the server settings manually. From the home screen, tap Settings > Mail > select your Hotmail account, then enter the following:

I'm having difficulties sending emails with iPhone?
- The vast majority of email providers will allow you to use their SMTP for sending email even when using a mobile device.
There are some email providers that do not allow this. In these cases we suggest you use an alternative SMTP setting such as smtp.o2.co.uk
We recommend you use your own ISP outgoing server with your ISP username and password. If your ISP doesn't support this you can use smtp.o2.co.uk adding your full O2 email address and O2 password. - View More: O2 I'm having difficulties sending emails with iPhone?
