    • First of all you'll need to check for new software updates to install. If an upgrade upgrade icon appears on your home screen (shown below), then go to the install updates tab.

      You can check yourself to see if there are any new updates are available for your phone. Here's how:

      Please note: The steps below are for operating systems 4 and 5 only(OS4,OS5). OS6 will be available soon. 

      1. On the BlackBerry home screen, select the Options icon.

      1. Enter the Advanced Options menu.

      1. Scroll all the way down to the Wireless Update option and click the trackball.

      1. Click Next on the Introduction screen. The Available Upgrades screen lists the current software version on the device. Select Check for Updates.

      1. Any available upgrades will be listed shortly. Select the upgrade you wish to download.

      1. At this point please move on to to the installing the updates section below.
