  • Changing the number of rings before divert to voicemail

    • You can set your ring time to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds.

      • Tap **61*121*11* into your phone as if you're making a call.
      • Next enter a time between 5 and 30 (the number of seconds in multiples of 5)
      • Press # and then the call button. Don't put the phone to your ear - just look at the display until you see a message confirming your ring time has been set.
For example, **61*121*11*25# followed by the call button would set your ring time to 25 seconds.

This will only work if your mobile phone's on the Vodafone network and you have voicemail set up. To check if you do, tap in 121 and press the call button. If you don't have Voicemail, you'll hear a message asking if you want it to be connected.

  • What is Visual Voicemail?

    • Visual Voicemail allows you to see who has left you a voice mail, when the message was left, delete a message, view contact information and call the person back without having to listen to the message first.

Visual Voicemail allows you to go directly to any of your messages without listening to the prior messages; so you can quickly select the messages that are most important to you.

You can access visual voicemail on the iPhone by tapping the phone icon then voicemail. If you have any new Voicemails it will indicate how many before you tap in a small red circle to the right of the icon.

When you’ve accessed voicemail you’ll be presented with a list of voicemails that you have stored. A blue dot to the left of the name / number indicates an unheard message. You can play, pause, delete and rewind messages from this screen.

Please note: Visual Voicemail and call merging are not available with Pay & Go.

Note: if you are allocated a temporary mobile number as part of the 'porting' process, any voicemails on the temporary number will be deleted when your existing mobile number becomes live. Also, any Voicemail 901 messages which are saved will be deleted when VVM is set up.

  • How do I turn on my Voicemail to handle my calls - and then back off again?

    • First decide if you want standard voicemail or immediate voicemail

To have callers automatically put through to your voicemail when there's no reply, your phone is switched off or there's no reception - choose standard voicemail.

      • to turn on standard voicemail - call 1211 from your mobile phone
      • to turn off standard voicemail - call 1210 from your mobile phone.
To have all your calls go straight to voicemail, set it to immediate voicemail. This means your phone will not ring.

      • to turn on immediate voicemail - call 1212 from your mobile phone
      • to turn off immediate voicemail - call 1213 from your mobile phone.
You can also use the voicemail menu to change your voicemail to either standard or immediate. Just call 121, or +447836 121121 if you are abroad. Then press 1 for the main menu, 4 for mailbox settings and 4 for diverts.

Although these calls are free of charge in the UK, if you are a pay as you go customer you will need credit to make these calls.
