  • Question

There's a message on my Pay as you go meter: what do I do?

    • Answer
    • For instructions on what to do next, choose the error message from the options below:

Card fail (possibly with number after it)
If you see this message when you insert your card into your meter, you need a new card, see: my gas card is faulty or damaged.

Call help, Battery, Battery fail, ----- , M***** , Card Pass, Invalid Card, Card not accepted, Please Wait (stuck on meter screen)
If you have any of these messages on your meter screen we may need to send an engineer out. Please call us on 0800 048 0303* when you're near the meter.

      * Our lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls may be recorded and/or monitored for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
