Stuck at the office or out with friends? You needn't miss out on that crucial episode or latest must-see movie. If you have a Sky+ or Sky+HD box and subscription, Sky's Remote Record service lets you record your favourite programmes wherever you are, by going online or using your smartphone. What's more, if this programme is part of a series you can also set up a Series Link, ensuring you never need to miss an episode of your favourite show again!
Online Remote Record
- Go to sky.com/tvlistings to see our online TV Guide.
- Browse or search the listings to find the programme you want to record.
- Click the programme title and select Remote Recordor Series Link.
- Sign in using your Sky iD when prompted.
You can make up to 10 online Remote Record requests per day.
Via your smartphone
- Download the free Sky+ App from the Apple App store or Android Market.
- When you use the App, sign in using your Sky iD. This will link the app to your registered Sky+ or Sky+HD box.
- Browse the TV guide and, when you've found a show you want to record, select it to Remote Record it.
- Your Sky+ or Sky+ HD box will record that programme when it airs, and you'll see it in your planner when you return home.
Please note that while Sky doesn't charge you for recording requests, mobile network and/or WiFi charges may apply.
To make sure you don't miss out, we recommend that all Remote Record requests are made at least 30 minutes before the start of a programme.
