What happens on the day of your Sky TV installation

On the day of your installation, our engineer will arrive at your home within the time period you requested, although the installation may continue past that. A standard installation often takes no longer than one hour.

When the engineer arrives, they will discuss the best location for your satellite dish and the best route for the cables leading from the dish to you Sky box with you (or the adult you've designated to be available during the appointment).

As the dish is outside your home, some cabling will be attached to the exterior, and holes will be drilled to allow the cables through the wall and into your home. Internal cables are usually tacked to the skirting board.

After installing your equipment, the engineer will give you a quick demonstration, showing you how to use your box and view programmes.

You'll be able to enjoy watching Sky TV on the same day as your set-up.
