  • Book your Sky TV installation

    • When you order Sky TV, you can choose from a list of available dates when booking your installation. We will do our best to install Sky on the date you select and will confirm the date by email once your order has been processed. 

      If you're in the timed installation area, you can request a morning or afternoon installation time, either between 8am and 1pm, or between 12pm and 5pm. If you're not in the timed installation area, our 'all-day call' policy applies. Our engineer will arrive on site during the time period requested but the installation may continue past that. You don't need to call us to confirm your appointment unless you need to rearrange it or we have your details listed incorrectly.

      Please note that self-installation may be available for some products, such as upgrades to Sky+HD from Sky+ and Sky Broadband. The instructions are mailed to you along with the equipment you need, and drilling and other specialised tasks are not required.

      If you need to contact us about your TV installation, the easiest way is to use the link below, which will open our email form (illustrated). You'll need your Sky iD username and password, but you can sign up or get a username/password reminder on the sign-in page.

  • How to track your order

      • When you have placed an order for Sky products and services, you can monitor its progress online or, if you already have Sky TV and you're upgrading or adding services, through your TV. Any orders that are unfulfilled will appear on the Order Tracking pages, along with estimated delivery dates and any notices. 

        We may use this service, for example, to notify you that Sky is still waiting for the return of your old equipment, or that there is a problem with your order. 

        You can use this service as often as you like during the countdown to your new Sky installation or upgrade.

  • How do I track my engineer visit?

    • The easiest way to check on the status of your order is by using our online Order Tracking service.

      On the My Sky homepage, enter your Sky iD username and password in the Sign in to My Sky with your Sky iD section. If you don't have a Sky iD, you can create one by selecting Sign up.

      Once you've signed in, look for the My Account section in the top navigation bar and then choose the Track Order section. Here you will find details of your enginer visit.

  • What happens on the day of your Sky TV installation

    • On the day of your installation, our engineer will arrive at your home within the time period you requested, although the installation may continue past that. A standard installation often takes no longer than one hour.

      When the engineer arrives, they will discuss the best location for your satellite dish and the best route for the cables leading from the dish to you Sky box with you (or the adult you've designated to be available during the appointment).

      As the dish is outside your home, some cabling will be attached to the exterior, and holes will be drilled to allow the cables through the wall and into your home. Internal cables are usually tacked to the skirting board.

      After installing your equipment, the engineer will give you a quick demonstration, showing you how to use your box and view programmes.

      You'll be able to enjoy watching Sky TV on the same day as your set-up.
