BlackBerry customers wishing to set up BlackBerry Protect, or BlackBerry App World are required to create a BlackBerry ID and will be guided through this process during their first installation.

What is BlackBerry App World and how do I get it?

BlackBerry App World is Rim’s official store where you can download Apps and games for your phone.
- You will be asked for an email address and password and a security question to create aBlackBerry ID.
- A BlackBerry ID will enable you to log into BlackBerry App World and is also required when downloading free or chargeable Apps.

I am trying to log into BlackBerry App World but I am getting an error message 'unable to validate email 'what should I do?

This error is due to an incorrect email address or password that has been entered for the BlackBerry ID login information. To reset this you need to self serve from your phone. To do this:
- Confirm that the email address has been entered correctly.
- Confirm you are entering the email address you used to set up BlackBerry App World. This must be an email address associated with your phone.
- If the email address is correct and you still receive the message ‘unable to validate email’ then follow the FAQ’s to reset the password.

I am trying to access BlackBerry App World but I've forgotten my BlackBerry ID password, but I do know the answer to my secret/recovery question?

O2 can’t reset your BlackBerry ID login details. You need to self serve from your phone. To do this: -
- From the phone click on ‘forgot password’.
- The password recovery screen will be populated with the email address you used to set up your BlackBerry ID.
- Click OK to accept the email address is the one associated with your BlackBerry ID. Complete 'security/recovery question' field and click ok.
- Your password has now been sent to your email address. Click on the link within the e-mail you receive and follow the instruction on screen to reset your secret/recovery answer and BlackBerry ID password.

I am trying to access BlackBerry App World but I’ve forgotten the password for my BlackBerry ID and the answer to my secret question?

If you have forgotten your BlackBerry ID and the answer to your security question you can now reset your BlackBerry password online. You will not be required to enter your security/recovery question when completing this online.
- To reset online click here
- Enter your BlackBerry ID, which is the email address you used to set up BlackBerry App World. This is also the email address you already have associated with your phone.
- An email has now been sent to your email address. Sign in to this email account through the browser on your phone or a computer.
- Open the password reset email and click the link to reset your password.

I no longer have access to the email account I used to set up my BlackBerry ID what should I do?

If you no longer have use or access to the email address you used to create your BlackBerry ID, you can now go online and update your details
- Click here
- Enter your BlackBerry ID, which is the email address you used to set up BlackBerry App World. This is also the email address you already have associated with your phone.
- An email has now been sent to your email address. Sign in to this email account through the browser on your phone or a computer.
- Select account details and Select Edit.
- You can update your email address details here.

- Click on the menu key and select Account information

Can I delete my BlackBerry ID?
- The deletion of a BlackBerry ID account is a ‘Self-Service’ feature only. You can only delete the BlackBerry ID account using the automatically generated email from ‘donotreply@BlackBerry.com’ that you received when you initially created their BlackBerry ID. If you no longer have this email the account cannot be deleted.

I have downloaded an App that isn’t working properly and I need support, who should I contact for help?

Apps downloaded from BlackBerry App World are not supported from o2 they are supported by the company that produced the App. To contact the company with a query about the application follow the steps below. From the device Home Screen open BlackBerry App World Select the My World tab which will list all the App's you have downloaded. Highlight the App you are having problems with.
Open the menu options and select 'Contact Support'
This will draft an email to the company who produced the App. This is the email address that you will need to contact with your query.

To add an App:
1. Double tap the bottom of the screen to bring up the main menu
2. Tap Market
3. Tap the App you wish to downloadIf it's a free App,
1. Tap Install
2. Tap OKIf it's a chargable App,
1. Tap Buy
2. Tap OK
3. Tap Select payment method and select your payment method
4. Insert your payment details, then tap Buy now
5. Your App will now be downloaded in the background, to check this, tap, hold and slide down the top of the screen (while downloading you will a flashing arrow in the top left of the screen)
6. You will see on this screen all the Apps you have been or are being downloaded.
7. Tap, hold and slide up the bottom of the screen to return to the Market Place.

To delete an App from your phone:

5. Tap Uninstall
6. Tap OK to the Uninstall application message
7. Tap one of the reason you wish to remove the App, then tap OK.
8. The App will now be uninstalled.

to create a folder, press and hold an App until it wobbles. Drag one App over another, hold for a few seconds, then drop the App in the folder that appears.
give the folder a name by tapping the generic title that appears & use the qwerty keyboard, then press Done

Instructions to download iTunes:
1. Visit www.apple.com/uk/itunes.
2. Click on the Download iTunes link. Always choose the most up to date version
3. You are now presented with two options which are automatically ticked:
a. Opt out (if you wish) of receiving New Music Weekly and special iTune offers.
b. Opt out (if you wish) of being kept up to date with Apple news, software updates and the latest information on products and services.
4. You must then enter your email address and then click on Download Now.
5. A pop-up box will appear asking if you wish to run or save the file, you need to clickRun.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions and restart your PC / Mac before starting to register your iPhone.
