Mail we're upgrading our security to prevent emails from being sent from client applications (Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird etc) when the "From" email address is not either a BT Yahoo! email address or a validated alternative email address. SMTP authentication - what is it and why do I need to set it up?

I want a different email address

Although you can't change your primary email address (the one you use to log in to broadband or dial-up) you can use sub-accounts to set up alternative email addresses, either for yourself or someone else.

You can access your email from anywhere in the world via webmail.

I alternate between Outlook Express and webmail to see my emails. But when I go to webmail, some of the emails in my inbox have disappeared.
