    Connecting your Nintendo Wii wirelessly

    • Answer
    • These instructions will help you connect your Nintendo Wii to O2 Home Broadband wirelessly. The Wii has wireless built in, and it's usually easy to get it all working.

Make sure the DSL light on the O2 wireless box is lit green.  Then follow these steps:

      1. Turn on your Wii.

      2. On the main menu, click the 'Wii' button in the bottom left corner.

      3. You'll see the settings screen. Click on 'Wii Settings'.

      4. Now, in 'Wii System Settings', click the blue arrow on the right to see the second screen of options.

      5. Click the 'Internet' button.

      6. Select 'Connection Settings'.

      7. Select an open connection from the list that appear. Open connections will have 'None' next to them.

      8. Select 'Wireless Connection'.

      9. Click 'Search for an Access Point'.

      10. Wait while your console searches for wireless networks.

      11. Once it's finished the search, click 'OK' to choose which network to connect to.

      12. The list of networks should include the name printed on the bottom of your O2 wireless box. Choose that name.

      13. You'll be asked to enter a security code before you can connect. Enter the WEP key printed on the bottom of your O2 wireless box.

      14. Click 'Save' and then 'OK' to save your connection settings.

      15. Select 'OK' again to test the connection.

Once the test succeeds, you'll be online and all ready to go.
