What the lights on the O2 wireless box mean

- The lights on the front of your O2 wireless box look quite pretty. But they're there to tell you what the box is doing, and if there are any problems.
The lights may be off, flashing or on constantly, in one of several different colours. The table below explains what each one means:Light Meaning Name Colour State Power Green On Your O2 wireless box is on and working normally Red On Your O2 wireless box is on, but a problem's been found Orange On Your O2 wireless box is starting up Off Power off Ethernet Green Flashing A computer is plugged into the O2 wireless box and being used On A computer is plugged into the O2 wireless box, but not being used Off Nothing's connected with a cable WLAN Green Flashing Something's connected to the O2 wireless box with WPA encryption on On There's no wireless activity, but WPA encryption’s on Amber Flashing Something's connected to the O2 wireless box with WEP encryption on On There's no wireless activity, but WEP encryption's on Red Flashing Something's connected to the O2 wireless box, but there’s no encryption switched on On There's no wireless activity, and no encryption's switched on Amber and red Flashing alternating colours A wireless connection to a new computer is being created Off Wireless connections are turned off Broadband or DSL Green Flashing You're connected to O2 Home Broadband and the connection is being used On You're connected to O2 Home Broadband, but the connection’s not being used right now Off No broadband line found Internet Green Flashing You're connected to O2 Home Broadband and the connection is being used On You're connected to O2 Home Broadband, but the connection's not being used right now Red On The O2 wireless box has failed to connect to O2 Home Broadband Off No broadband connection View our interactive guide to get more support setting up and going wireless
