My connection keeps dropping

These steps should help solve the problem:
1. Shut down your computer and then switch it and your router both off at the plug. Switch them back on again.
2. Check that every phone socket has a working microfilter (pictured) attached, and that the telephone extension cables aren’t damaged.
3. Make sure that there isn’t a fault with the telephone line.
4. Change the channel settings on your router. This could instantly solve your problem.
5. Check that there is nothing in your home set-up that could be interfering with your wireless signal.
If your connection is still dropping, go through the checklist below.
What to check if you have an intermittent Sky Broadband connection:
- Have you tried a different wireless channel?
- Do you have microfilters fitted on all your phone sockets?
- Is your Sky wireless router in a good position?
- Do you use a wireless adapter or other wireless gadgets and devices?
- See if there is a problem with your telephone line.
- Do you have the correct network connection settings?
Still having problems?
Try resetting your router. While your Sky Broadband router is switched on, press and hold a blunt pointed object (such as a pen) in the small reset button on the back until the test light blinks, then release the button. Your Sky Broadband router will now restart with the default settings.
